There is a kind of cruelty in the world where parents do everything for their children, eventually raising them to be incompetent.

We often see news about children murdering their parents after being denied money, or jumping from buildings for unknown reasons. Is it because parents give too little love?

Education, of course, does not refer only to school. There are many things in life more important than exams: self-control, stress resistance, independence, communication skills, social skills, financial literacy, competitiveness, courage, honesty, compassion...

But under traditional rote education, these beautiful character traits are suppressed by Chinese, English, Math, Social Studies, and Science. When a child loves to draw, parents see it as "scribbling"; when a child loves to sing, they are criticized for being "tone-deaf" and forced to sit at a desk memorizing ancient prose or doing math... Over time, the child becomes increasingly passive and gradually grows to hate school.

Children will not stay under their parents' protection forever. Instead of forcing them to study, it is better to tell them the purpose of learning. Learning is not limited to general subjects; children should be allowed to explore anything they are interested in.

Parents do not need to make every decision for their children, nor do they need to worry about them facing setbacks.

Only through the experience of making mistakes can they make more cautious choices in the future!
