Dadaocheng Gutingchui: The Music Enterprise of the Chen Jin-lai Family

This book focuses on Chen Jin-lai, a practitioner of Taipei's traditional musical performing art 'Gutingchui' (drum pavilion music), and his family. It traces the lineage of Dadaocheng's musical families, the learning context of the Gongle-xuan troupe, radio and recording activities, the operation of drum pavilion shops in the post-war era, temple fair processions, and the Guchui (drum and wind) formation culture.
